Job Title: SQL Server database administrator
Location: Luxembourg city
Hybrid: Yes (3 days/week onsite)
Type of Contract: Permanent Contract
Mandatory Languages: Fluent in English (C1 minimum)
Eligibility: Candidates must possess European nationality or a valid work permit for Luxembourg

Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 -5 years of experience in SQL Server database administration with large datasets (5+ TB)
- Strong expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and database maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with backup and recovery strategies, database security, and automation.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience applying them in IT operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
- Fluent in English (C1 minimum)
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain large-scale SQL databases (5+ TB), ensuring performance, security, and availability.
- Perform performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization to enhance database efficiency.
- Implement and manage database updates, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime.
- Develop and enforce backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies.
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices in incident, problem, and change management.
