Position: Mid Data Engineer - AI & Analytics (NL + ENG)
Location: Ghent & Brussels, Belgium
Hybrid: 2-3 times a week on the client´s office
Languages: English and Dutch (C2 mandatory)

Job Description:
you will develop scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures to support data-driven projects, contribute to building innovative solutions using advanced analytics and AI
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient data processing.
- Collect, organize, and integrate data from various sources (databases, APIs) into the AI & Analytics platform.
- Optimize database performance and ensure data quality, reliability, and security.
- Develop a secure environment for data processing and analysis.
- Evaluate technical feasibility, manageability, and cost-efficiency of data solutions, proposing improvements as needed.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in data engineering, AI, and analytics.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, specifically with Big Data.
- 3+ years of experience implementing AI applications and integrating data into analytics platforms.
- Strong expertise in ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) and data pipelines.
- Proficiency in Spark or PySpark for processing large datasets.
- Knowledge of data lake solutions like Azure Data Lake or Delta Lake.
- Experience with streaming tools such as Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Flink.
- Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Languages: English and Dutch (C2 mandatory); French is a plus
