Position: Microsoft BI and SQL Server specialist
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Hybrid: 2-3 times a week on the client´s office
Candidates must possess European nationality or a valid work permit for Belgium
Mandatory Languages: One of the national languages (Dutch and French) must be the mother tongue, and the other language must be understood and readable
Job Description:
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing and improving performance in the ETL process and SSRS report queries running on SQL Server databases. The role also includes contributing to the modernization of our Business Intelligence architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze performance issues in the ETL process and SSRS reports running on SQL Server databases.
- Formulate and implement proposals to address performance problems.
- Contribute to the modernization of BI architecture, including tasks such as implementing an SSIS catalog, setting up SQL Server database projects, and designing and implementing new BI architecture.
- Implement a release process using Azure DevOps and Git.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling methodology and terminology (Kimball).
- In-depth knowledge of T-SQL and performance tuning for SQL Server.
- Extensive experience with the Microsoft BI suite, including SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and Power BI.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology.
