Position: Mid-Level Full Stack Java Developer with GeoTools Expertise
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Type: Hybrid (At least 2 days per week in the office)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Java Developer with expertise in GeoTools to work on geospatial application development and maintenance. You will leverage your skills in Java, JavaScript, and geospatial technologies to deliver high-quality solutions. This hands-on role requires experience in geospatial tools and frameworks, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively in Agile teams while independently managing coding, testing, and debugging tasks when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust Java-based applications with geospatial capabilities.
- Implement solutions using GeoTools, JTS, and Qgis for geospatial functionalities.
- Utilize frameworks and tools such as Spring, JPA/Hibernate, and Maven to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
- Work on front-end development using JavaScript and manage dependencies with Node/npm.
- Execute programming tasks independently, including coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
Must-Have Skills:
- 3+ years of demonstrable experience with:
- JavaScript.
- Developing Java-based applications.
- 1+ year of experience with JPA or Hibernate.
- Demonstrable experience with:
- GeoTools and JTS for geospatial solutions.
- Spring Framework for application development.
- Maven for dependency management.
- Qgis for geospatial data visualization.
- Node/npm for front-end development.
- Training with certification or equivalent experience in programming languages and environments such as Java/J2EE.
- Strong ability to execute programming assignments smoothly, including coding, testing, and debugging.
- Solid understanding of and experience with Agile development methodologies.
