Position: Cobol Developer
Location: Wallonie, Belgium
Type of work: Full time; Hybrid - 2-3 times a week in the clients office
Languages Required: Dutch OR French native + English (B2)
Must Have Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Cobol
- Experience testing, debugging, designing, coding and maintaining Cobol Mainframe systems and technologies
- Experiences in Natural Construct (a model-based application generator)
Preferable Skills:
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to programming standards
- Create technical design documentation, test plans, and user guides
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, provide solutions, and apply fixes.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and engineering principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience in the automotive industry or related fields is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks and projects.
- Create technical design documentation, test plans, and user guides.
