Role: Senior Python Applications Developer
Location: Brussels or Amsterdam
Type: Hybrid (2-3 days on-site per week with possibility of remote work)
Languages: French: C2 + English or Dutch (C1)
We are looking for a Senior Python Developer with expertise in designing scalable, high-performance solutions and a strong background in software engineering, data integration, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clean, efficient code, experience with DevOps practices, and an affinity for digital technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain robust solutions that align with business goals while ensuring high performance and reliability.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Python Development experience, with a strong understanding of writing clean, high-quality, and scalable code.
- Experience in Data Engineering: Proven expertise in creating robust, scalable data pipelines and engineering solutions both on-premise and in cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
- API Development: Experience developing and maintaining APIs for system integrations.
- DevOps and Automation: Knowledge or experience in test automation and DevOps practices.
- Cloud and Tools: Proficiency in Azure, Databricks, Terraform, Docker, Spark, and data governance tools.
- Data Warehousing: Experience with data warehouses and working in environments that prioritize data quality and governance.
- Technologies: Familiarity with Kafka, MongoDB, Bitbucket, GitHub, JIRA, Medallion Architecture, Pandas, SQL, and Java.
- Certifications: Azure Data Engineer, Databricks Data Engineer, and Databricks Lakehouse certifications are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Python Development: Write efficient, well-documented, and reusable Python code to support scalable applications, with a focus on both on-premise and cloud environments.
- API Development: Design and maintain APIs for system integrations, ensuring smooth communication between platforms.
- Data Engineering: Develop and implement scalable data engineering solutions using tools like Azure, Databricks, and AWS, while managing data pipelines and working within ETL processes.
- Test Automation and DevOps: Contribute to test automation practices and implement DevOps strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of the platform.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with IT and non-IT stakeholders to align development efforts with business goals. Participate in code reviews and help maintain development standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Engage in code reviews, actively contributing to the enhancement of the development processes, and ensure adherence to best practices in software development and data governance.
